Rustzilla is an environmentally friendly rust converter because it is a safer option than many other rust converters on the market. When selecting a rust converter to treat rust, the choices generally fall into two categories: phosphoric acid-based products and non-phosphoric acid-based products. The Rustzilla line of rust converters does not contain phosphoric acid and offers a non-hazardous alternative free from harmful chemicals.   In addition, both skin corrosion/irritation and severe eye damage/irritation are rated Category 0. It does not contain any substances regulated as pollutants under the Clean Water Act 40 CFR 122.21 and 40 CFR 122.42 Rustzilla does not contain any substances regulated as hazardous under the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act CERCLA  40 CFR 302 or the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act SARA 40 CFR355.
